At National, we are committed to delivering products of the highest quality by manufacturing Ductile Iron castings and synthetic rubber gaskets in our own state-of-the-art facilities. (UL) and Factory Mutual Organization (FM), complemented by our own stringent internal inspection and testing protocols for every lot of finished goods. In addition to Ductile Iron products, we offer a specialized range of grooved fittings in stainless steel, produced through precision investment casting using the lost wax process. These fittings are machined to exacting tolerances using advanced, special-purpose machinery. Unless otherwise specified by the customer, all Ductile Iron castings used in our products are coated with a rust-inhibitive primer based on Alkyl enamel, utilizing lead-free paint compliant with RAL 3000 standards.

The basic design of independent grooved pipes, sealed by a rubber gasket & unified by externally bolted coupling housing, reduces noise,-vibration transmission geometrically throughout a system.
As a fully mechanical, bolted
system National products present no fire hazard. It is far safer and requires no shielding or fire watch.
Removal of two couplings (just four bolts) provide access for cleaning, maintenance, system expansion or changes. Butterfly valves provide “dead-end” shut-off service to isolate equipment or systems.
The Grooved system is unique in the ability to accommodate expansion/ contraction/ deflection and to permit designing to take advantage of these characteristics within published standards. Reduction of special vibration accessories, expansion loops and settlement allowance are among the options.
The grooved system allows full rotation of pipe, valves, fittings or couplings before tightening for easy alignment. This compensates for some alignment errors and eliminates the “two-holing” required with flanges. Fitting in tight places is eased.
